German IPF capacitive proximity switch is a non-contact sensor. They detect metallic and nonmetallic objects, whether they move or not. The range of sensing that the device can achieve depends on the target material, its size and the response sensitivity set through the potentiometer. Anti-vibration sensors can be approached from the side or front. Capacitive proximity switches are used for presence detection of solid and liquid materials (e.g., seal detection), positioning (e.g., PET bottles), counting (e.g., plastic bottle caps), level detection (e.g., lubricants), or distance measurement (e.g., thickness measurement).
