The well-known appearance of Santa Claus goes back to the German emigrant Thomas Nast. He drew St. Nicholas, alias Santa Claus, in the U.S. as early as 1862 with a white rakish beard, red coat and fur-trimmed cap.
Unfortunately, we cannot confirm whether Thomas Nast was right in his description, because no one at ipf saw Santa Claus leave a sweet surprise for each employee either. But he certainly gave us great pleasure with it!
